Plain-English summary

  • We only use analytics cookies if you allow them, and we don't use ads or cross-site tracking on zoapps.io.
  • With your permission, Google Analytics helps us see which pages are useful. You can change your choice any time.
  • If you email us, we use your details only to reply or send the updates you asked for.
  • We don't sell your personal information.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data.
1. Who we are +

ZoApps (“ZoApps”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent studio that builds and publishes apps for kids. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information when you visit zoapps.io (the “Site”) or contact us.

2. What information we collect +

2.1 Information you provide

We collect information you choose to share with us, for example when you:

  • contact us by email,
  • send feedback or feature requests.

This may include your name, email address, message content, and any details you include.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site:

  • Visit statistics, only if you allow them. If you click Allow in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, where visits come from and which devices are used. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address and device details. If you choose No thanks, it does not run. You can change your choice any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to keep the Site running and secure.

Apart from these services, fonts and files are served from zoapps.io itself.

3. How we use information +

We use your information to:

  • respond to inquiries and support requests,
  • send product updates when you opt in (e.g., early access list),
  • maintain, protect, and improve the Site (performance, security, and debugging),
  • understand how the Site is used (aggregate analytics),
  • comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (where applicable) +

Depending on your location, our legal bases for processing may include:

  • Consent (e.g., when you allow analytics cookies or subscribe to updates),
  • Legitimate interests (e.g., keeping the Site secure and improving performance),
  • Contract (e.g., when we respond to a request for a product/service),
  • Legal obligation (e.g., compliance requirements).
5. Cookies & tracking +

The Site sets no cookies unless you allow analytics. If you click Allow, Google Analytics sets the cookies listed in our Cookies Policy. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage, and you can change it any time with the Cookie settings link. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Sharing & third parties +

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Google, for website statistics (Google Analytics), only if you allow it. Google may process this data in the United States. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Our web hosting and email providers, who store the Site and deliver the email you send us.
  • Legal authorities, if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

These providers may process data only to provide their services to us.

7. Data retention +

Messages and early access sign-ups stay in our inbox until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them to reply to you or send the updates you asked for. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting of our Google Analytics account, which is at most 14 months. We may keep some records longer if the law requires it.

8. Security +

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Your rights +

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • request access to your data,
  • request correction or deletion,
  • object to certain processing,
  • withdraw consent (for email updates),
  • request data portability.

To make a request, contact us using the email below. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

10. Children’s privacy +

The ZoApps website is written for parents, press and partners, and is not intended for children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the Site, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Our apps have their own privacy details. See Kids' privacy and safety for what each app collects.

11. International transfers +

If you access our Site from outside the country where our servers or providers are located, your information may be processed in other countries. We take steps to protect information consistent with this policy.

12. Changes to this policy +

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.

13. Contact +

For questions or requests related to this Privacy Policy, contact us at hello@zoapps.io.
